Job Summary: The Operations Supervisor will oversee operations, materials, quality, and maintenance employees on their shift and the quality of work performed by their departments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading multiple operational functions.
- Facilitates communication of updates, priorities, and feedback to their team and escalates as needed.
- Ensures that assigned departments comply with company policies and safety standards including compliance with PPE requirements.
- Ensures that 5s standards are met.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives and looks for ways to improve processes.
- Responsible for training team members on processes and procedures that are necessary to the job.
- Coordinates with supervisors to establish goals and criteria to be used in performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Ensures each department has appropriate staff to meet objectives.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Keeps and maintains appropriate reporting.
- Responds to employee concerns and/or complaints and handles discipline and/or termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Assists with preparation of budgets for assigned departments.
- Responsible for approving time off requests and timecards for team in the payroll system.
- All other duties assigned and necessary to perform the job.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Five years of related experience, with at least two years of supervisory experience, preferred.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills, required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, preferred.
- Experience using PLEX, preferred.
- Must be committed to participate in learning and training opportunities.
- Must be willing to travel to support other sites or for training opportunities, if needed.
- Must be able to traverse the entire facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
