Armored Plates
Constellium’s global armor offering includes targeted innovative solutions building on aluminium’s exceptional properties such as stiffness, lightness, and toughness. These products facilitate a complete vehicle architecture: turrets, hulls, appliqué kits, and also underbelly blast shields and bridging vehicles.
Constellium offers manufacturers a unique value proposition. Our state-of-the-art portfolio of light, strong and corrosion-resistant proprietary alloys enables us to offer highly effective materials.
2139 Plates
2139 plates have been developed for lightweight applications requiring high strength and damage tolerance, as encountered in armor applications. 2139 plates offer excellent balance between protection against perforation (AP threats) and deformation typically for appliqué, underbelly blast control, structurally welded hull components.
7056 Type-A Plates
7056 Type-A plates have been developed for lightweight applications requiring high strength and damage tolerance, as encountered in armor applications. 7056 Type-A plates offer maximum ballistic protection against perforation with improved stiffness for applications such as appliqué, housings for turrets, and structurally welded hull components.
7056 Type-B Plates
7056 Type-B plates have been developed for lightweight applications requiring energy absorption and damage tolerance, as encountered in armor applications. 7056 Type-B plates offer maximum ballistic protection against high-speed events with improved stiffness for applications such as underbelly blast control and structurally welded hull components.
