Job Summary
As a key member of the additive manufacturing team, the Senior Technical Business Development Leader's mission is to drive the Business Development and Sales of our high performance’s products in North America.
Responsibilities:
- Understand additive manufacturing aluminium powder alloy market needs for North America, particularly in aviation, space, defense and automotive markets
- Identify new opportunities, establish customer connections, develop relationships, develop customer proposals and generate sales
- Establish partnerships with key customers, additive manufacturing equipment providers and government institutes to introduce and qualify our products
- Support customers in using our products (technical assistance, quality requirements)
- Attend industry appropriate technical conferences. At these conferences you may present technical presentations promoting Constellium’s solutions along with networking among the attendees to build relationships
- Establish supply chain solutions locally in the US. This may include material production, manufacturing options or distribution networks
- Support customers in designing solutions with our products
- Identify unmet customer needs, monitor our competitors and competing products, and contribute to defining our roadmap for new product development
- Collaborate with our European team to secure our product supply chain, share market information and build common customer relationships
- Work with our European team on synergies, particularly concerning large North American customers with additive manufacturing activities in Europe
Qualifications:
- Masters-level technical degree (e.g. Engineering, Technology, Materials, Metallurgy etc)
- Business degree is a plus
- Established experience in the area of additive manufacturing
- 5 or more years’ experience in business development or sales
- Very good knowledge of Automotive, Aerospace or Defense customers is key
- Experience in negotiation with large customers (e.g. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, GE, GM, Ford, Tesla, Stellantis, SpaceX etc.)
- Self-organization and autonomy
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity to write technical & customer reports
- Fluent in English
- Ability to speak French or other languages are a plus
