Constellium - Sustainability Technical engineer & Data analyst

The Sustainability Technical  manager & Data analyst will be responsible for achieving LCA related projects for the full Group as well as focus on ESG data management analysis, GHG related ones in particular. He / She will join a 5 persons’ multidisciplinary team, dedicated to sustainability for the Group. As part of his/her job, he/she will work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: Business Units, Procurement, Customers etc..

 

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) 

Assessing environmental performance of products, processes and projects is essential to drive the development of Constellium products, as well as supporting sales and customers in advocating for better environmental performance.  

  • LCA cases and studies; running and maintaining already existing models; build and running new models, using GaBI software, to assess the environmental performance of Constellium products and innovation projects.
  • Managing contractors and external verification processes
  • Bring LCA expertise to external collaborations with customers, industry associations…

 

 

Data management related to environmental performance indicators in particular

Constellium is currently tracking several KPIs related to energy, GHG emissions and recycling activities as we are committed to reduce our footprint in all emission scopes.

Thus, in-depth data management is requested:

  • Data collection and organization;
  • Data processing, including calculation of dedicated indicators;
  • Modelling of future performance, based on existing data;
  • Summarizing and communicating results & recommendations;
  • Identifying relevant new KPI, tracking them, selecting the most relevant IT tools to do so.

 

 

 

Technical expertise on sustainability questions

  • Internal support for sites certification process, dedicated working groups, training sessions, answering miscellaneous sustainability-related questions, in particular related to LCA, carbon footprint, recycled content...
  • Supporting Business Units sales & sustainability teams with external requests (in particular customers’ questions).

 

Contribution to Corporate communication (annual reports, brochures, conferences…) 

 

Skills

  • Technical and scientific background, e.g. process / environment engineer / Data scientist
  • Background in environmental science
  • 2-5 year experience in Life Cycle Assessment (experience with LCA tools, preferably GaBI software)
  • Data processing & Statistics
  • Computer skills (Advanced Excel skills; programming, PowerBI is a plus).

  • Excellent interaction and communication skills, ability to collaborate inside and outside of the organization, in transversal mode.
  • Comfortable dealing with all organizational levels and stakeholders internally and externally, with a professional attitude

  • Proficient in English, French recommended, German will be a plus.
