Constellium Issoire Welcomes Tour de France Riders

Constellium’s Issoire plant took part in the Tour de France 2023 last week, which passed through the town on July 11. 

The Issoire team has created an aluminium airplane wing measuring 7 meters long and 5 meters high with the help of local subcontractors. The sculpture symbolizes our employees’ expertise, pride, and the cutting-edge technologies used to transform aluminium in the aerospace industry. This structure was positioned along the bike route to greet the riders near the finish line, right in the heart of the city. At the finish line, Constellium’s Issoire Plant Director Stéphane Corre and employees greeted Christian Prudhomme to present him with this symbol of innovation. 

The Mayor of Issoire, Bertrand Berraud, accepted the sculpture on behalf of the town from Stéphane. Though the Tour de France ends this weekend, the sculpture will be permanently installed in a local traffic circle.
