Special Events

At Constellium, we believe our workforce should reflect the society around us and offer equal opportunities for all. This year, Constellium was honored to participate in WE24: Together We Rise, the world’s largest conference for women in engineering and technology. This three-day flagship event held by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) offers opportunities to engage in networking, gain career insights, and connect with industry leaders on innovative topics. As a partner of SWE and Women in Manufacturing (WiM), we are committed to hiring top talent, specifically focusing on bringing highly-skilled women into key professional and management roles. In 2023, 23.65 percent of our professional and management roles were held by women, putting us on pace to achieve our target of 25 percent in 2025.

Career Fair

With over 21,000 attendees and nearly 500 exhibitors, WE24 is a major recruiting event for Constellium to help expand our talent pool and meet with some of the best and brightest engineering and technology professionals in the area. The event, which took place at McCormick Place in Chicago, had two main components: a career fair and a series of interactive workshops on leadership and engineering topics. Constellium was represented by individuals from technical management, human resources, information technology, communications and engineering project management.  We spoke with nearly 200 potential candidates for our open roles, with people stopping by the Constellium booth to learn more about our value-added aluminium solutions.

Speaking Seminar

In addition to exhibiting, we also had the unique opportunity to present at the event. Tracy Swank, Organizational Effectiveness Business Partner, spoke about the launch of our first Employee Resource Group (ERG), Women Inspiring Networking & Success (Constellium WINS). The presentation, entitled Launching a Global Women’s Network in a Multi-Cultural Organization, highlighted the work that went into the formation of the WINS ERG and shared valuable insights on building a strong project team. From gaining sponsorship, identifying resources in every country, establishing metrics for success, and everything in between, Tracy walked participants through the process of setting up a truly global ERG focused on empowering women. The main learning objectives of the session were to:

  • identify a sponsorship model that will drive outcomes for your ERG
  • build a governance model for your ERG and identify founding members
  • measure your success and help your ERG evolve through data and feedback

Attending WE24 helped Constellium continue to expand its perspective, build new connections, drive innovation, and recruit top talent.
